“Porto” – the new POLOLO model is made especially for children and their first steps. Basically, children, especially in this phase, should run barefoot for as long as possible - but since this is only possible when the temperatures and surfaces are suitable and the little ones often want to run a few steps outside, "Porto" was specially designed for these first steps outside and designed indoors. It is characterized by a wide, soft Leather sole with non-slip rubber insert - this is very flexible and completely flat. The “Porto” lace-up shoe is also available in a lined version (organic wool / kbT) – and from 2024 also in a version with Velcro fastener.

The POLOLO alternative to socks or baby slippers
The “Porto” sole is made for little runners to start running because it is deliberately designed to be particularly soft and cuddly. If used for too long, as is the case with small "long-distance runners", on asphalt or other sharp surfaces, it could be damaged - the "postage" is designed for the start of the run and serves as an alternative to socks or baby slippers, which often offer too little protection.
