With the colorful POLOLO children's shoes from the “Chico” model series, running around, jumping, bouncing and playing is even more fun! The sole is particularly flexible and ideal for small children up to size 27. The integrated elastic band makes it easy to put on and take off. The shoe has such a great fit on the foot and is very easy to use! The super flexible learner's sole arches well over the tips of the toes so the foot is very well protected. For this shoe we use soft organic cotton in the inner lining and SEAQUAL® YARN in the outer material. This is a beautiful and water-repellent textile fabric that consists of approximately 10-15% recycled marine plastic and approximately 85-90% recycled post-consumer plastic from the land. As a rule, we do not use polyester fabrics for our production, but we found Seaqual Yarn's concept convincing and sustainable. Unfortunately, millions of tons of waste still end up in our oceans, on the beaches and in the rivers every year. We all know this is a danger to our environment! Through the commitment of the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, plastic waste is collected and recycled: by around 400 partner fishermen off the Spanish and African coasts as well as by voluntary initiatives that collect on the beach and on the rivers. Every kilogram of SEAQUAL® YARN produced corresponds to one kilogram of waste. The SEAQUAL INITIATIVE focuses on plastic waste. Their partner network starts with fishing boats and collection initiatives and extends to spinning mills, weaving mills and brands that are committed to ridding the sea of waste and producing ecologically friendly yarns, fibers and fabrics. The Seaqual Yarn Initiative is certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). This certification guarantees that the recycled textiles were produced with additional ecological and social criteria. At POLOLO we largely avoid outer packaging and do not use plastic in our packaging. These models only come in a paper shoe box. Please dispose of it in the trash or, better yet, store the shoes in it if they no longer fit. Because POLOLOs can be passed on or sold on.Additional information
Fit of children's shoes
The human foot takes approximately 18 years to fully develop. Of course, it grows fastest in the beginning. Therefore, you parents should check the fit of your children's shoes every 3-4 months. For POLOLO street shoes, we have always developed removable soles - as far as this was possible for the respective style. On the one hand, you can easily replace a sole (e.g. add a wool sole for the winter) and you can use it to measure the foot length and fit very well. If the imprint of the big toe is already dangerously far forward, then your child has already grown again and is due for the next shoe size. Our soles are all very flexible, especially our Barefoot collection.

When producing our POLOLOs in Spain, we pay great attention to ecological, pollutant-free materials and workmanship throughout the entire production chain. We only use German natural leather that is vegetable tanned and certified, organic quality cotton (organic / kbA) and wool from controlled organic animal husbandry (organic / kbT). POLOLOs are allergy-friendly and therefore our leathers are naturally chrome-free.
