Shoe sizes: Please check which shoe size is right for your child before buying. To determine the correct shoe size, please place your child's little feet on a piece of paper and draw around the outside with a pencil. Please make sure that the toes are stretched and that your child is standing correctly. Then measure your foot drawing from the heel to the longest toe in centimeters with a ruler. Please add at least 1.2 - 1.5 cm tolerance for the toe space and check our table to see which shoe inside length would be the right one. Especially for a winter shoe that is lined, it is better to give a little more tolerance.
Note: Children's feet grow by two to three shoe sizes a year in the first few years. Therefore, you should check the shoe size every 3-4 months to make sure that the foot is not constricted. For this purpose, you can remove the insole of the model. Usually, you can see very well where the big toe has left its imprint. But just put the child's foot on the sole again (standing up!) and see if there is still enough room.
Wide entry: The entry of this model is large and so the children's boot can be put on very comfortably. With the wide climbing strap, the model can also be closed optimally over a wide instep.
The shoes are well suited for medium and wide feet.
The flexible POLOLO TPR sole made of thermoplastic rubber has good slip resistance and is specially designed for the needs of toddlers. It curves far over the toes of the shoe: This means that the toes are particularly well protected during romping, hopping and running. The sole is heel-free, very light and flexible.
The insole can be removed. This is the best way to check whether the shoes fit well. Inner soles can also be reordered from POLOLO if the model is passed on.

Fit of children's shoes
The human foot takes about 18 years to finally develop. In the beginning, of course, it grows the fastest. Therefore, you parents should check the fit of your children’s shoes every 3-4 months. We have always developed removable soles for POLOLO street shoes – as far as this was possible for the respective style. On the one hand, you can then easily change the sole (e.g. put in a wool sole for the winter) and you can measure the foot length or fit very well with it. If the imprint of the big toe is already alarmingly far forward, then your child has already grown again and the next shoe size is due. Our soles are all very flexible, especially our Barefoot collection.
POLOLO pursues the highest ecological standards
When manufacturing our POLOLOs in Spain, we pay great attention to ecological, pollutant-free materials and processing throughout the entire production chain. We only use German natural leathers that are vegetable tanned and certified, organic cotton (Bio / kbA) and wool from controlled organic animal husbandry (Bio / kbT). POLOLOs are allergy-friendly and therefore our leathers are naturally chrome-free.
