Please check which shoe size is right for your child before purchasing. To determine the correct shoe size, please place your child's feet on a piece of paper and draw around the outside with a pen. Please make sure that the toes are “stretched” and that your child is standing correctly. Then measure your foot drawing from the heel to the longest toe in centimeters with a ruler. Please then add at least 1,2 - 1,5 cm tolerance for the toe space and look in our table to see which inside shoe length would be the right one.Water repellent
Leather is a supple and durable material. The advantage of leather (especially uncoated leather) is that it is naturally breathable and at the same time relatively impermeable to water. Shoes can be sealed well with waterproofing spray or leather grease. We recommend the ecological manufacturer Tapir, for example. Because in the interests of children and the environment, we recommend ecological variants that are environmentally friendly and healthy. Waterproof In this sense, only rubber boots or synthetic boots are included. These are wonderful when it is raining heavily and your child wants to run around in the rain and puddles. But otherwise they are not breathable and should therefore not be used continuously. Fit of children's shoes
The human foot takes approximately 18 years to fully develop. Of course, it grows fastest in the beginning. Therefore, you parents should check the fit of your children's shoes every 3-4 months. For POLOLO street shoes, we have always developed removable soles - as far as this was possible for the respective style. On the one hand, you can easily replace a sole (e.g. add a wool sole for the winter) and you can use it to measure the foot length and fit very well. If the imprint of the big toe is already dangerously far forward, then your child has already grown again and is due for the next shoe size.
